Everyone says you don't try, but really...

I think you're trying TOO hard, to please yourself.

We all want stuff and to do things and live as we see fit. But don't let your mind or heart block each other out. I'm not going to go over all the "pros" and "cons", besides, those are subjective anyway.
Here's my advice:
If you want to do an epic battle scene, do it.
If you want to take a step back and think out story, character motivations and etc. Do it.
If you want a song just because you like how it sounds (non-copyright of course), do it.
If there's a nagging feeling to listen to others, listen and APPLY.
If there's a nagging feeling to trust yourself, trust and do it to the best of your abilities, and then some.
Alright, I may be a nowhere kid with no real animations to call my own and I'm only a 15 year-old with no education compared to you. But I know that when I think TOO much on something I love, it'll never get done, or worse it turns to crap because I fell too in love with it. Likewise if I do something on the fly, its crap because I never cared about it. When I think about where I want a story/character to go for awhile, and then just spend 1 hour making ALL of the specifics for the character, just going into my own impulses of the second by second, do I get something that I can truly call my own and that would be good for ALL.
The point is use your heart and mind properly. Mind to have a focus, intelligence, and to make it into something that'll appeal to however many people it can. Heart to put yourself into it and make it something unique from everything else.

It feels like you're forcing something out of yourself, to please yourself.

You're one of the reasons I (try to) animate today. Your animations felt FUN even if the animation wasn't top-notch or writing that some would consider SOFLIPPINGAMAZING. It felt like you just didn't care but you also knew what the people wanted. I felt like all these other reviews about you not wanting to change/try wasn't on point because you keep telling everyone how hard you're going with this. So it REALLY sounds like that's the problem.

I don't know what you'll do, and hell, the animation has gotten stale and it's doubtful you'll read through these and read some nowhere kid's comment.
So if this never gets to you, well, maybe some others will read it and reiterate it in the next episode if they feel this continues. And if you do somehow read this, well it's not like I'll ever know about it.
Just don't let this become something that becomes extra anxiety for you and you hurt yourself in some way, alright?

Kirbopher responds:

I read through it. I appreciate you taking the time and I'll say in return, try not to worry about me so much in that way and I hope you'll enjoy the show for what it is.

Lip-sync?

You had it in the last 3 but not this one, how come?

RogerregoRRoger responds:

(enormous face palm)

AGHH, sorry. Seems I uploaded an old version.
Stupid, stupid.

It's fixed now, if you want to bother for a second time.

Well all right

You really dont want your lines to be seperated from one another, you want everything to be all one straight line. When the girl was standing up we could see how you drew her, you know the ball with the cross in it. Animation wise it was good but you didnt practice anything else such as sounds, colors, background, etc. so you're doing good so far just fix it like the reviewers tell you, practice all the other components of flash and you should be good to go :).

ShrimpyChan responds:

Well, I'm trying to add audio, but I keep messing up...so I'm gonna keep trying until I get it right. about the color and backgrounds...It'll take me pretty much a long time to do that, but for now, it's just sketching. ^^;;

Sonic man,

Okay new lessons
Dont cut out a picture and then put it in the flash you know the clothes and etc., draw it yourself
Dont worry about backgrounds yet despite what others are saying because you should work on your character movement before anything else.
Because Im not sure you're doing this FPS 24
Look for excuses to MOVE the sticks and use it as practice
Now for a leap of faith because Im not sure if the program you're using works like mine, some of this you know and some you don't.
Use the line tool to make a long body for the stick attach two lines to where you want the arms to begin and make them HALF the length of the body, same with the legs. then do another half attachment on the ends of those. Now you have an limbs in two halves each to move like a real human. Now when you click on one part you should get a box around it with 9 smaller boxes that change the size of the line, there should also be a ball in the middle and a line attached to a ball at the edge of the ring of boxes. move the ball in the middle to end of the half and you the ball with the line to move that part of the arm like a real person. NOTE if you move the upper half make sure the lower half is still attached because that's where you screwed up the walk test. Use the circle tool to make a perfect circle for the stick heads, dont use the pencil tool for simple things, use it only for hair or something that HAS to curve a lot, if you can avoid please do.
When moving the stick's limbs move them using 3-6 frames from the time they start to the end point you want them.

Try this for your next flash and actually watch my video "Death or Your Money Back" (Youtube because I messed it up on NG, click the website link on my profile) to get an understanding on how it should look like. If you STILL need help after your next video I'll send you a skate video going step by step but I wont know what else to do after that to help you because I cant go to your house and help you there.

sonic10 responds:

shit up idiot

Really good

Go white!!!! :D

CaligoIgnis responds:

Yeah, the white one is the unfair character :D. Thanks for the 8 and glad you like my animation!

Beautiful

This was a really great flash, you're really onto something there and its preety original which is hard nowadays. How did you adjust the loading screen to an image of Saturn and Lumi? Can you please tell me how.

Rokkan-Saturn responds:

I just pasted the Newgrounds loader to the image.
And then removed the tank logo to insert the Saturn gif

People read this? YES! THAT'S WHY THIS IS HERE! Well I'm just a noobish animator and voice actor. I say noobish because I'm just starting everything and I suck compared to the big boys and girls. Hit me up when you need a voice anytime!
